Lorraine Christie was born in Ireland and now resides in Roswell, Georgia. Her fine paintings in oil have received international acclaim from Ireland where her work is highly prized, to England, France and the USA.
Although classically trained in London, she prefers to call herself a self-taught painter and has had many high-profile exhibitions, including, The Mall Galleries, London and W.H. Patterson in the prestigious Mayfir District of the city. Dublin, Ireland is host to the majority of her work.
Currently and she has gained notoriety with the Ulster Museum in Belfast acquiring her paintings as part of its permanent collection.
It is mostly her still life paintings which have awarded her the most acclaim, however her ability to use the nude as another form of still life
Have created an increasing demand for these finely accomplished pieces.
Her love of landscape painting often takes her to Provence and Italy where she paints plein-air to capture the essence of the beauty around her.
